When their heaviness begins to sink into your shoulders - that's when you know you've got your arms wrapped around an angel. It's that feeling that I think we most seek to catch. The stand-still moment that consumes you while the world swirls around. Time stops for just a bit and you understand the importance of slowing down. How hard is it to hang onto God while we are going through this world so fast? And, how easy is it to just take the day one step at a time?
For me, these moments are a reminder that God eagerly awaits to consume us with this same peace if we accept the need to be still. Naturally we squirm about while Jesus has had His arms tightly wrapped around us...waiting for us to just lay our head on His chest and rest in His security.
Guess who just woke up... back to work I go :)
Praise God for not only those frustrating days - but also for His sweet rewards that tickle our hearts.
