Home for the Holidays

Highlights of Christmas with the Gibson's

Jude was able to entertain Grand Carol for six full days. He loves his Grand Carol and she definitely has that grandma touch. Sure wish mom's could have the grandma touch - it would come in handy on bad days.
This is Jude starring as Jesus. He's still not much for hats or anything on his head.

Josh and I took a separate trip to the Bilmore Mansion for two days. We had a two day package to see the Candlelight Tour. We had a great time and we recommend doing Biltmore this way. Can't wait to go back in the spring.

So, I'm a huge fan of Trip Advisor. I don't travel anywhere with out peeking through this site. One of the fun finds we discovered was 12 bones smoke house. Supposedly the best ribs in the state equipped with a 20 minute wait in line just to get into the door. It was well worth it
As you can see, my favorite man is very happy.

And our precious baby Jude. As cute as can be. This is really a shot of the "calm before the storm". Jude had not had a nap on our return day. We were pushing 6:30pm for him and passed the golden mark to have him whisked away into slumber land. The good thing is Jude is an observer and loves to see the world, downside is - he won't shut off if he's somewhere new.

Luckily, we had some brand new grand parents behind us that were more than eager to entertain the little guy. Jude can get really excited and not sure how to expel that energy in an appropriate, safe manner. I have had both his index fingers shoved up my nose by surprise, followed by squeezing my cheeks until he could get his claws to sink into skin. He wanted to kiss and hug someone, but again, you are a victim at this stage in the game. By the end of the trip, my face looked like I had been in a cat fight, my upper lip puffy from his head butt, and bruises from him trying to jump behind us or get as close as possible to those grand parents. Luckily he was happy and the other passengers where entertained and not annoyed. Jude finally dosed off on descent-20 minutes from landing. To say this kid doesn't like to be held down is an understatement. :)
