Ridin' it Out

This is a pict of Jude getting ready for the storm and of Dad and Jude playing in the closet. We had a lot of fun considering and storms are always an amazement to experience - especially at this level.


Josh and I prayed over our house in the afternoon and asked for a few specific things. 1) that we would not hear the storm, 2) that our oranges would stay 3) that no debris would hit the weakest part of our home which is in the back yard with three oversize, floor-to-ceiling windows.

We spent the day cleaning up the yard and preparing the house for a potential disaster. We also spent about an hour at our neighbor's Hurricane Party after we finalized our shelter. The wind started to pick up pretty hard. After getting up from our seats and chairs blew out from underneath us - we decided it was time to hunker down.

Jude had a difficult time settling. He knew something was happening and is battling a small cold - for the most part, he did well.
